Tires on the Ground

An overview of what you need to know when you arrive!!

Katemcy Rocks Off-Road Park is located on TX 29 about a 7 mile drive northwest of Mason Texas. Some navigation systems show an entrance off the 337 but that’s a no-go! Both Google & Apple Maps recognize “Katemcy Rocks” and will direct you to the right place. Look for the entrance signage similar to this picture!

You’ll see a squirrel or shiny quarter or something and forget and then oh-boy mass confusion! If there is a line, be patient, we’ll move everyone along as fast as possible! EVERYONE MUST SIGN A WAIVER It’s a legal thing and you get a cool wristband! Check in with the WFAC staff to get your shirt, raffle tickets and other cool stuff!

There will be both guided and unguided trail opportunities. Guided Trail runs will be organized beginning on early Friday afternoon and continuing through Sunday morning. Guided Trail runs will organize either near the Lower Trail Entrance or Upper Trail Entrance. Look and listen for more information once you’re on site. Freewheeling is available all day but y’all must use the buddy system so in case of breakdown, there is someone there to help you with recovery. Safety First!! No need to bring big lighting systems as there are NO NIGHT RIDES allowed.

Compete or watch but just make sure you’re there! This obstacle is only one of the few that stopped the famous BroncBuster but Tyler’s back to conquer it once and for all! Competition starts at 10am Saturday. If you think you have a rig that has what it takes (min. 35” wheels & lockers), get registered and win great prizes taking on the obstacle that launched a Bronco meme seen ‘round the world. If you have what it takes, you could be crowned KING OF THE HILL!

Plan to join everyone else at Saturday night’s gala dinner and “The Build” presentation (and who knows- if Ted Nugent does make it, he’ll probably want to hoot & holler with his guitar a
bunch!) It is going to be a lot of fun to talk over the fun of the day with all your new and old wheeling buddies over a home cooked dinner and then really inspiring to meet TJ, hear his

experiences in combat and watch as we present him the new “go anywhere” Track Wheelchair! Tickets for the dinner are available on the website and (for a little bit more) at the event.
